第343期：sugar baby

今天我们要讲的这个词可能有点少儿不宜，也不太所谓的“正能量”，但是一种很普遍的社会现象——Sugar baby是群什么人呢？

很多英语学习者知道sugar daddy是“干爹”的意思: a sugar daddy is a rich older man who gives presents and money to a much younger woman, usually in return for sex. 

这个词在英语娱乐新闻里经常能看到。除了sugar daddy，其实还有sugar mama（“干妈”）呢，意思一样。

而今天我们要讲的sugar baby就是跟sugar daddy和sugar mama相对的，就是那些被有钱人包养的“二奶”，在娱乐圈人们习惯称为“干女儿”。

*汉语中“二奶”这个词不知谁发明的，那个土啊~~~

用英语解释就是：

A sugar baby is a person who is in a specific type of transactional relationship for the expressed purpose of achieving economic security. A person in such a romantic relationship may receive cash, gifts or other financial and material benefits in exchange for being in the relationship. (Wikipedia)

*这句解释写得很棒，值得多读几遍，仅从英语语言的角度欣赏一下。

Sugar baby男女都有，主要特征是都很漂亮。

有钱人包养sugar baby的这个“包养”，用英语表达可以说sugaring. 

The practice is sometimes called “sugaring”. The sugar baby’s partner is referred to as either the “sugar daddy” or “sugar mama” and is typically wealthier and older than the sugar baby. 

国外有不少专做这类中介服务的网站，大家可自行google了解，抱着批判的眼光自己了解。佛老就不提供网址了。

Urban Dictionary上对sugar baby的解释是：

a woman who provides companionship and/or sexual relations for a wealthy, older man in exchange for expensive gifts and/or money; a “gold digger“. 这个解释其实不如Wikipedia那个解释好，不过sugar baby倒真的都是gold digger（钓金龟者）。

怎么办呢？虚荣心作祟啊。
